MARGA: Abstract
Marga is a Hindu word meaning the journey of life. It is a story played out in sculptural form that will draw people from diverse backgrounds and interests. People will come to the Marga to enjoy the artwork, as a space for reflection and to experience a unique community project. As a tourist destination and a cultural center, it will provide a venue for artistic expression, a number of academic interests and community projects and cohesion. Although the artwork is based around a broad but strong theoretical progression, viewers will be engaged whether or not they find interest in the significance of the sculptures. The functional aspects of the Marga will contribute to the success of the project. The artistic endeavor will allow for the manifestation of a unique vision.
