Station 11 - Death
)
As viewers are lead through the path, they enter a walkway surrounded by large stone walls. The walkway is a presented as a river of grief. The viewers sense the ?fall from grace;? the momentum of previous themes disintegrating into an individual and collective breakdown.
Figures on the banks of the river and emerging from the water upon which the viewers walk contour the pain of loss, the awe of catastrophe, hopelessness and sorrow stemming from the story. Above the stone-enclosed space are stainless steel birds and fish suspended in nets across the sky.
Walking through the river with strong images is intended to be evocative and present an opportunity for emotional reaction to aspects of life such as unbearable and relentless grief.
