Station 12 - Death

After the "river of grief," viewers enter into the darkness created by the root system of a tree. The walls of the cave created by the roots are entwined with animals and humans. This station represents physical and metaphorical death and the journey to the underworld.
Concepts such as human fear of death and darkness are engaged. The metaphor of the sacred under the ground and the seed fertilizing and growing will be employed to illustrate certain myths and experiences.
Death as well as fertilization and growth are central to this station.
