Station 9 - Conflict

Station Nine is the embodiment of the failure of a system, unyielding disagreement and resorting to violence. The needs of people are no longer perceived as satisfactory and relationships collapse.

Images of people burning in a central bonfire surrounded by warriors and mother-figures symbolize the destruction and results of physical battle in several forms. The break in balance and the accumulation and opposition of elements described in previous stations reaches its peak. The horror, loss, courage, determination and conviction of conflict are shown. The origins of conflict (as communally or individually inherent or created and fueled by human choices) are visually questioned.

This station represents the height of interaction between people and implies a paramount condition in which things must change from their present condition.
